Hi contestants! Welcome to the 1st elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 3.
Round 1 of any G4M-NTM cycle is always deceptively easy. The theme is always something that at first glance seems easy ("Sports" in Cycle 1 and "Back To School" in Cycle 2), but if you look closer the themes are harder to pull off than you think. While the themes don't require much as far as photo concepts are concerned, they're difficult because you have to maintain a high-fashion look in an ordinary situation. Cycle 3's Round 1 theme was no different.
This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented the theme "Home Buddy". The judges were overall happy with the photos. While in most cycles it usually takes the models a few rounds before they really start getting the hang of the competition, this cycle it seems that most of you started off with a bang. Not everyone did though, and that's why we will continue with our 1st elimination.
In my hand I hold 11 pictures, and these pictures represent the 11 men who will be continuing on the journey towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

Though some of the judges would have liked to see more of your face, overall they liked how expressive your eyes were. Your look was simple yet powerful. Overall one of the best photos this week.

The judges thought that this was one of the stand-out photos of this round. The look was edgy and still somehow homey. Another good start to the competition.

The judges thought you had a strong look, but they think that it could have been complemented with a better body angle. Overall though, it was a good photo.

While your photo was OK, it didn't do enough to wow the judges. Some of the judges thought you looked a bit stiff and uncomfortable, though most of them agreed you deserved another chance.

This was an OK pic, and you had a good look. The judges feel though that you could have done more with your body angle to stand out, as the one you had in your photo seemed to make you look smaller.

The judges were a little bit disappointed in the quality of the photo you submitted, as you have profile pics that are way better than this. You worked hard to make it to the Top 12. You need to work harder to stay in it.

The judges had mixed reaction to your photo. Some of them thought that you put a lot of effort into it but some thought that you didn't put enough. As a model, you need to pop out of your surroundings, and that's something that maybe you can work on in the next round.

The judges weren't really happy with your photo. While you did make an effort to have a good body angle, somehow it seemed like you were trying a bit too hard. There needs to be a somewhat effortless feel to a photo, and you can work on that on your next photo.

DoNeE and mArcC, you're both in the bottom 2.
DoNeE -- While we did say that you had to come up with a fierce photo, some of the judges thought that your photo was too fierce. Your facial expression made you look uncomfortable, and that's not something we wanted to see in this week's theme.
mArcC -- The judges were a bit confused by this photo. You seemed lost in your surroundings, and we couldn't really see what you were trying to tell us in this photo. Yes, you were relaxed, but maybe a little too relaxed for comfort.

Like TROI, you worked hard to make it to the Top 12 this cycle after not having made it last cycle. You need to prove to us that you deserve to win this competition. You can't do that with lacklustre photos.
