The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM Philippine Time. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). CYCLE 3 ROUND 10 THEME: PSA, HIV Prevention

The models need to create a public service announcement for HIV Prevention. The public service announcement needs to have 2 photos. The 1st photo must show either someone who isn't taking the necessary precautions or someone who is suffering the consequences of HIV infection. The 2nd photo must show either someone who has decided to take the necessary precautions or someone who is dealing with HIV infection positively and with hope.

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 6th elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 3.

As we get closer to the all-important Top 5, the competition continues to get fierce. By the end of tonight's competition, only half of our original Top 12 will remain. In less than a month, we will find out who the winner of G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 3 is.

This week your challenge was to come up with a photo that best evoked the look and the spirit of the 80s. Overall the judges agreed that there have been better weeks in the competition. It seems that some of the models have become complacent. Some of the models also seemed to have difficulty with the theme. So sadly, we must proceed with the elimination.

The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM Philippine Time. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). At the end of the round, please e-mail your comments to the contest coordinator so they can be posted all at the same time for the contestants to see.

This is the official announcement of results for G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 3 Round 5.

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 5th elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 3.

As with the past cycles of G4M's Next Top Model, this cycle isn't free from controversy. This week the judges were the focus of the intrigue, and accusations of favoritism and clannish mentalities were brought up. Some judges were criticized for being too involved in the creation of the photos of their model-friends. At the end of the day though, it isn't the controversies that matter. It's the photos that the models came up with.

This week, the photos were amazing. The models are consistently raising the bar for the future cycles of G4M's Next Top Model. Each week they continue to surprise us with their level of dedication and effort. This is something that the organizers of this competition do not take for granted. We are truly grateful for everyone who's a part of this, and we are sad that tonight someone has to say goodbye.

Again, the photos this week were amazing, and a lot of people have commented that this is the best cycle of G4M-NTM as far as photos are concerned. This week, it was hard for the judges to choose someone to eliminate, since the photos were all good. The voting was so tight, and the results might surprise you.

Cycle 3 Round 4 -- Judges' Comments

For this week's round, I was quite impressed with some of the photos that were submitted. I now see the improvements and I can tell those who are pulling away amongst the pack in reaching the goal of becoming the next G4M's Top Model, although there are some who are still mediocre and doesn't have a clue of what they are doing.

mycommic – truthfully I was blown away with this photo. Good interpretation of the theme and concept was very original. Kudos! Your face lights up the whole photo and you successfully jumped out of the page. Good face angle and eye connection. The only thing awkward is that you are crouching thus loosing your neck making you small. I suggest next time, keep in mind the posture… as I have always quoted as a reminder, when you pose for photos… you model with every part of you body not just having a fierce look. Congratulations, you have my vote for this round.

myyrdmovie – you seem not in tune with yourself in this photo. After a strong photo last week, this one was just ok. The geek is there but not quite. For me this week you didn't took any chance but rather played safe. Be consistent; don't let two coverboy citations make you complacent. I still believe that you have what it takes to be better so I will be giving you another chance to advance for next week to step up and deliver.

josh cedric – week after week, you are one of the contestants that deliver beautiful photos but in this round… what happened? I could not even see your face. The photo has its artistic merits but it doesn't translate geek chic, for me it's more of a layout photo portraying sadness or loneliness the way your body language suggests. Keep in mind that in this competition, we are judging fashion shots not just ordinary conceptualized photos. This week is just a safe bet for you, I'm a bit disappointed.

tata – from last week's fierce shot to a subtle geek. I am glad that you are able to show different sides of your personality translating in your photos. You also took risk in doing awkward poses adding merit to the theme. One thing I would suggest for the future is the quality of the photo. Have the right lighting angles when editing to highlight more your face. Congratulations, you have my vote for this round.

troi – I congratulate you for delivering a good photo this week. You certainly clinched the theme for this round. Geek yet chic, though not that astounding with the face… but rather a safe one. When you pose in front of the camera, face it head on not facing down, thus the personality was lost. Anyhow, you have my vote.

_uno_ - this is what I call an over kill! Everything was overly created. From the concept to the clothes to the pose. For this week, the theme was geek chic, from what I see, the geek swallowed you up, the chic ran away. It was painful looking at this photo and it didn't give you any justice. You seemed stiff with your pose; seems that you don't have a clue of what was required. I'm sorry but for me not a good photo.

yoh_asakura – another profile shot from you. I want to see the other side. Week after week this is what I see. You are comfortable with this side and it gets monotonous, plain and stagnant. You have the attitude in the photo, good eye contact, excellent choice of clothes.

I want to see you take risk in your next photo, show us the other side. Don't be safe, be bold.

evianyohann – not one of my favorites for this round. Just a plain shot without even a hint of effort. Your eyes are dead, expressionless and sad. You look like a librarian bored of his job. Nothing much to say about this photo. I'm sorry but for me this week was not for you.

claydoh – you almost went overboard here in trying to follow the theme. I commend the effort but it seems to me that you are becoming weaker each week. Last week's photo was just safe as its concept was a bit unclear to me. This week it was even absurd. I see the geek but where is the chic. Chic means fashionable, edgy, head turner. All I see is a boy with his candy. You have good face structure, use it to your advantage and broaden your interpretation of the theme. For me, this round was just a safe week for you.thanks.

mycomic - eidting aside.i still think the photo would ae looked better without the editing.he has a weird pose,but thats what makes the photo hig fashion.its not the usual poses you see in billboards.the editing confuses me in some way.

JOSH CEDRICK-good photo.but he isnt pushing himself enough.e;s relying too much on being handsome and not being a model in my opinion.he could do so much better.he looks like a sad geek,dont you think?and sad doesnt necessarily mean high fashion.

The mechanics:

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. Hi contestants! Welcome to the 3rd elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 3.

In the spirit of Halloween, our theme for this week was "Scare Tactics". Your challenge was to come up with a photo that evoked fear; either as someone's who's afraid or someone who is causing other's to be afraid. This week's theme was all about how well you could evoke a negative emotion and still manage to come up with a high-fashion photo.

The photos this week were amazing, and it was clear that most of you continued on with the momentum you started with last week's round. Fear is something you can see in someone's eyes, and the majority of you had brilliant eye contact in your photos. Some of you didn't though, and so we continue on with this week's elimination.

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 2nd elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 3.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented the theme "Perfume Ads". We wanted to see if you could show us the sensual side of yourself without being overtly sexual. It sounds easy enough to do, but most people confuse the two, and it's important as a model to know where to draw the line.

The judges were overall very happy with the results. They saw that you put in a lot of effort into your photos, and a lot of the judges had difficulty deciding who they wanted to be this week's Coverboy. Some of you did better than the others, and that's why we will continue with this week's elimination.

The theme is always something that at first glance seems easy ("Sports" in Cycle 1 and "Back To School" in Cycle 2), but if you look closer the themes are harder to pull off than you think. While the themes don't require much as far as photo concepts are concerned, they're difficult because you have to maintain a high-fashion look in an ordinary situation. Cycle 3's Round 1 theme was no different.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented the theme "Home Buddy". The judges were overall happy with the photos. While in most cycles it usually takes the models a few rounds before they really start getting the hang of the competition, this cycle it seems that most of you started off with a bang. Not everyone did though, and that's why we will continue with our 1st elimination.

The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM Philippine Time. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. Please take note of the new deadline. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). At the end of the round, please e-mail your comments to the contest coordinator so they can be posted all at the same time for the contestants to see.

CYCLE 3 ROUND 1 THEME: HOME BUDDY

This round's theme is "Home Buddy" -- the models have to show us a photo of themselves in the clothes they wear at home. As with all the past G4M's Next Top Model Round 1 themes, Cycle 3 Round 1's theme seems deceptively easy. Remember that as always, the judges are still looking for a high-fashion, edgy photo. To stay in this competition, you need to make sure you're modelling and not just posing for another memorabilia shot.

Cycle 2 was a blast. But it's time to move on. It's time for Cycle 3. We're here to find 12 more men; 12 men who week after week will compete in the hopes of becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

CYCLE 3 CONTESTANT AUDITIONS

To all those who want to audition to become a contestant for Cycle 3, now's the time to sign-up. A few things to consider before auditioning:

** The Top 12 models from Cycle 2 are ineligible to join Cycle 3. Models who auditioned for Cycle 2 but did not make the Top 12, and models from Cycle 1, are eligible to audition for Cycle 3.

** This is a 12-week long commitment. If you're not going to be able to sustain coming up with a new pic every week based on the theme for that round, then please don't sign-up. We want to avoid having contestants back-out very late into the competition.

** It's easier to be a contestant if you have access to either a digicam, a phone with a cam, or any sort of camera for that matter. The themes get harder and harder as the competition progresses, and it will be difficult if you're just relying on the photos in your archive.

** This is not a photoshopping contest. We're looking for models, not graphic artists. While edited pics may be better to look at, it's the quality of the model's performance that we're more interested in. That having been said, there are many audience members of this thread who would be more than willing to help you photoshop your pic should you need help with that.

Once you've considered the things above, you can begin thinking about your concept for your official audition pic. Here is the audition process for contestants:

1. You have until 11:59 pm on September 29 to e-mail your official audition photo to g4m.ntm@gmail.com. You can post as many pics as you want here in the thread to get people to help you choose one as your official pic, but only 1 pic will be posted in the photo album and the blog. Please include your G4M nick in the e-mail you will be sending.

Important: You MUST e-mail your official audition pic to g4m.ntm@gmail.com. Sign-ups through the thread will not be considered valid.

2. The contestants then have 1 week to validate their identity with 1 of the veteran G4M-NTM judges/models (list to follow). The validation may be done through webcam. The deadline for the validation is October 6, 9:00 pm.

3. On October 7, the judges will have until 9:00 pm to submit their Top 12 pics for Cycle 3. A new thread will be created to announce the 12 finalists, and another thread will be created to officially begin Cycle 3 Round 1.

Sign-ups are ongoing for those who want to become judges for Cycle 3. Some things to consider if you're interested in becoming a judge:

** This is a 12-week long commitment. If you're not going to be able to vote for all the rounds, then please don't sign-up. We will impose a 2-strikes-you're-out rule starting from the auditions round. You will not receive any reminders to vote. CYCLE 3 MECHANICS

The mechanics of the competition proper:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 11:59 PM. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

3. The contest coordinator will announce the Coverboy of the Week as well as who is eliminated in a new thread, latest Monday night 11:59 PM. A new thread will also be created for the new round.

Cycle 2 of G4M's Next Top Model has come to an end!

It's time we took a few moments to reflect on everything that happened in the past 8 weeks.

G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2 started off with a bang. 30 G4M members auditioned to be models for the new cycle, and 22 signed up to be judges. As part of the voting process, the audience's votes counted towards determining the Top 12 models who would continue on in the hopes of becoming G4M's Next Top Model. A staggering 900,477 votes were cast -- almost a million votes. After combining the public votes with the judges' votes, the Top 12 was determined, and Cycle 2 of G4M's Next Top Model was on its way.

Tonight, we make our last elimination. Tonight, we announce the 2nd winner of G4M's Next Top Model. Before we announce the winner of G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2, here's a quick summary of what happened each round.

* * * *

Round 1 -- Back To School

The models were still trying to find their way in the competition during Round 1. Some of them underestimated the theme, and ended up submitting a memorabilia photo rather than a photo that showed off their modelling skills. Still, this round was a memborable one, because it was the first round that we ever had to automatically eliminate someone for failing to submit a photo before the deadline.

Coverboy of the Week: Apollo...

Because one of the models was automatically eliminated, Apollo..., who was the 13th placer in the auditions, was brought in as a replacement. He proved himself immediately, winning the judges over with an edgy photo.

Eliminated: gOdWiN1
Automatically Eliminated: jcboi03

jcboi03 was unable to submit a photo before deadline, and became the first contestant in G4M-NTM history to be automatically eliminated from the competition. Sadly, his elimination proved to be the start of a trend, and in each succeeding round there would be at least 1 model who was automatically eliminated for failing to come up with a photo for that week.

The elimination through voting still continued though, and gOdWiN1 was the first to be sent home. He had a lot to prove during the first week, since he made the Top 12 mainly through the public votes and not the judges' votes. The judges felt that he was unable to rise to the challenge.

Round 2 -- Crowd Favorite

Out of all of the themes, this round's theme proved to be the most challenging for all of the models. It was the first theme ever that required the models to pose with other people, and everyone was unsure about how they'd be able to pull the theme off. Still, some of the models were able to come up with great photos, and proved that they were able to stand out in a crowd.

Coverboy of the Week: hard_hot

Out of all of the models, hard_hot was able to pull off the theme with what seemed like little effort. This was the start of many weeks where hard_hot was able to come up with outstanding photos.

Eliminated: BACK'2BACK
Automatically Eliminated: 'shinji'

'shinji' was the 2nd model who was automatically eliminated for not submitting a photo before deadline. Though he put much effort into his photo, even to the point of getting himself drunk just to get through his photo shoot, BACK'2BACK was eliminated in the judging. The judges appreciated his effort, but still felt he got lost in the crowd.

Round 3 -- Icons

As far as themes went, Round 3's theme was pretty straight-forward. The models had to emulate the icon of their choice, and most of the models were able to pull off the theme with little trouble.

Coverboy of the Week: RLeinberg

Having produced what was arguably the classiest photo of the week, RLeinberg was chosen as Round 3's Coverboy of the Week. This was a turnaround from the previous week, where he narrowly escaped elimination after submitting a photo that didn't adhere to the week's theme.

Automatically Eliminated: -jeff- and JETFIGHTER

This week was the worst as far as automatic eliminations went. Both -jeff- and JETFIGHTER were unable to produce photos before deadline -- -jeff- understandably because he had been involved in a car crash during that week. Since 2 of the remaining models had been automatically eliminated, no elimination happened during judging.

Round 4 -- Wet Wet Wet

Another relatively easy theme, and most of the models came up with great photos. Some of the models did better than others, as we can see from the results of this round.

Coverboy of the Week: indierock

indierock went to great lengths to come up with a photo for this round, including faking rain and posing in wet clothes on top of a car. The results were great, and he was chosen as Round 4's Coverboy of the Week.

Eliminated: Apollo...
Automatically Eliminated: RLeinberg

For the first time in the competition, the previous round's Coverboy, RLeinberg, was automatically eliminated for not submitting a photo. In the regular judging, Apollo... was eliminated for submitting a photo that the judges felt was too edited.

* * * *

Round 5 -- Femme

Though a lot of the contestants had been automatically eliminated, the ones who were left pulled out all the stops to come up with great photos week after week. This week was no exception, and the photos were amazing, even though a lot of the models had to face their worst fears and show their feminine side.

Coverboy of the Week: Boytoy11

In the earlier rounds he had been cautioned for sometimes crossing the line between fashion and pornography, but Boytoy11 always had great concepts for his photos. This week he took the best photo of the bunch, and for the first time he was chosen as Coverboy of the Week.

Eliminated: indierock
Automatically Eliminated: Rafe_143

Rafe_143 was automatically eliminated. In the regular judging, a lot of people were shocked because indierock, one of the front-runners in the competition, was eliminated in this round. The judges felt that although he was able to come up with a photo that suited this week's theme, it wasn't edgy or fierce at all, and so he had to go.

Round 6 -- Angels and Demons

With only 3 models left in the competition, this round became the last round with a theme. The models had to show off both their angelic and demonic sides. Andrew116 became the 7th and final model to be automatically eliminated from the competition for failing to submit photos before deadline. Judging was only done to determine the Coverboy of the Week.

Coverboy of the Week: Boytoy11

Both Boytoy11 and hard_hot put a lot of effort into their pics, and it was difficult for the judges to select between them for the Coverboy of the week. Ultimately, more judges favored the concepts Boytoy11 had for both his photos, and he was chosen as this week's Coverboy.

Automatically Eliminated: Andrew116

Because Andrew116 was automatically eliminated, no one was eliminated in the regular judging. Boytoy11 and hard_hot automatically made it to the Finals of G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2.

Final Round

And now we're down to the final 2. The dedication that Boytoy11 and hard_hot showed to the competition paid off. With the fierce photos that the 2 of them came up with round after round, they have definitely proven that they deserve to be in the finals.

Boytoy11 and hard_hot outposed and outmodelled 11 others to make it this far. However only 1 can claim the right to call himself the 2nd winner of G4M's Next Top Model. Here's one last look at our final 2.

Although we had to remind you from time to time to restrain your sensual side and focus on modelling, we can't deny that you always had fabulous concepts for your photos. Your final photo is one of the best photos you've come up with in this entire competition, and you've definitely ended this cycle with a bang.

Your modelling in your photos has always been understated, but at the same time always classy. Your final photo exemplifies this, and you did well to come up with 3 different looks for one photo. You've ended this competition on a high note, and should definitely be proud of your portfolio.

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 5th elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented our theme for Round 5: "Femme". For a lot of you, this was probably the most challenging theme to date. Most of you had never been in women's clothes before, and most of you had never put on make-up. Yet most of you were willing to do your best to come up with a competitive photo for this round.

The results were good. The models clearly did their best to work with the difficult theme. Of course, some did better than others at portraying their feminine side. Some judges were so impressed with the results, that they were wondering if it would be possible not to eliminate anyone this week. However since we're down to the final stages of this competition, we had to accept that all things eventually have to come to an end, and that includes the participation of one of you in the competition.

Since Rafe_143 was automatically eliminated, this meant that we were down to our last 4. At the end of this week's elimination, we will be down to our Top 3 models for Cycle 2. Round 6 will be the last round where we have a theme. The results of Round 6 will determine who will be in the Finals of G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2.

hard_hot -- The judges thought that this was an OK photo, although your discomfort with the theme kind of showed in your face. They appreciated the effort, although in a week when there were so few of you left, you didn't manage to stand out.

indierock -- The judges gave your photo a mixed review. Some of them liked the delicacy you evoked with your eyes, while others weren't happy with how the photo didn't seem to have much class. Any other week you might have been safe, but again since there were so few of you left, you weren't able to rise above the competition.

The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM Philippine Time. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). At the end of the round, please e-mail your comments to the contest coordinator so they can be posted all at the same time for the contestants to see.

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 4th elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

RLeinberg was unable to submit photos before this week's deadline, and has therefore been eliminated.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented our theme for Round 4: "Wet Wet Wet". This was a relatively simple theme compared to the themes from the past few weeks. Still, we had high expectations of the models, and hoped that they would be able to deliver.

Generally the judges were happy with the photos. The models knew that we were down to the last 6, and they tried not to drown in the competition. Now was the time for them to swim above the rest.

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 3rd elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented our theme for Round 3: "Icons". This was again another difficult round. The models had to not only model in a photo, but they also had to emulate a famous person in their photo. The judges had high expectations of the models, as did many people in the audience.

The models did not disappoint. Most of them made a clear effort to come up with a good photo. In their own way, most were able to come up with a pic that evoked the spirit of the icon they had chosen. Some, however, weren't able to do that, and so we proceed with our elimination for this round.

Andrew116 -- hmm..who are you emulating? I dont seem to find in google the icon that you try to emulate in your entry. But let me guess, a student or a yuppie? You have the looks we know, you projects well in front of the camera and you know your angles..all is lacking is the effort on how and what are you going to do with what you have. Focus Andrew116.. :)

Apollo... -- "Sweet Escape" huh.. :) I like the way how you exerted effort in your entry for this round. Well, thanks for the text written in your entry that tells me its Gwen Stefani. However, if not for the text maybe i'll assume that this one is an emulation of Sailor moon with b&w stockings. Good projection though, and good choice of outfits..

Boytoy11 -- You never dissapoint me with regards to your entries. Your creativity and playfull mind always makes a difference among the rest. At this moment, for me your entry is one of the safest for this round. You've exerted effort with regards to editing, outfit, make-up, projection and "bangles". Nice concept though. Good job for you Boytoy11..keep on surprising us. :)

hard_hot -- I love Christian Bautista, not because he's our neighbor in Imus but with his personality, looks and stand-out talent. I never thought someone in G4M-NTM would emulate Christian Baustista. Congratulations because you did not dissapoint me. Its a good choice and nice entry for this round. The lights, projection, outfits, and of course your emulation stands out among the rest. And I must say..this one is a nice "album cover"..hehe. Good job!

indierock -- James Dean is a real icon and he's classic. I like how the way you emulate him. However, your entry was not so convincing for me. I mean your hat is okay, the cigarrette is good, your projection or angling is also good but I do not agree with your outfit. You shoud've worn polo or long sleeves since you've come up with a black and white photo for this round and aside from that you should've taken off you wrist watch.. :)

Rafe_143 -- love ET (the film). But making him as an entry for this round, I dont know. Well, one thing is for sure, its a challenge emulating ET..Agree? But I dont seem to find the "ET" in you, I mean in your entry.

RLeinberg -- I like your concept. The location, the outfit, props, lights projection. Im not saying that your entry is perfect, but im not also saying that its bad. For me its a safe entry for this round. You should've come up with how a golfer strikes a pose not just in front of the camera as a model, but how a golfer should be.

Apollo... -- i like your entry... it is worthy of a Coverboy title, however, i think i have already seen this picture in the first round.. well, what i mean is this particular entry reminds me of your entry in the first round, they are so much alike in so many ways... so there is not much originality in terms of style, i can't see anything new except for the clothes.... i can indeed see gwen in this pic, pero yung dating parang yung sa first round lang din... you know what to do next round, dear, ikaw pa! wink

indierock -- Of all the models this week, I think you were able to capture the essence of your icon the most. I'm feeling the bad boy, rebel-without-a-cause vibe, and with your clenched fist it's almost as if you're about to punch someone. I think it's your eyes and the position of your lips that complete the effect.

Rafe_143 -- Where's the iconic finger touching the ball of light? That's E.T.'s most famous image, and it's not here in this pic. If it were a beauty shot theme, this would have been a good pic. But for this week's theme, it's kind of bland.

RLeinberg -- A good photo, although I'm not feeling the Tiger Woods vibe. It's difficult to take a good side portfolio, and you pulled it off here. It might have been better if you didn't tilt your head up too much cuz in this pic your chin looks a bit big.

The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM Philippine Time. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). At the end of the round, please e-mail your comments to the contest coordinator so they can be posted all at the same time for the contestants to see.

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 2nd elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

Sadly, 'shinji' was unable to submit a photo before this week's deadline, and has therefore been eliminated. We will still, however, continue with the elimination for this round.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented our theme for Round 2: "Crowd Favorite". The models were all apprehensive, as most of them weren't too excited about the prospect of taking a picture in front of lots of people.

The apprehension showed in most of the photos. The judges were overall underwhelmed. Some photos just had the crowd edited into them, and some models were overshadowed by the others who were with them in their photo. Some models did manage to stand out though. Soon we will find out who stood out enough to stay in the competition.

Looks like the picture you presented was taken on a street party or something... lack of preparation that your pushed to submit a photo that is close to the theme... darling the theme is crowd favorite... nobody’s looking at you, nobody seemed to notice you except the one who shot this… im quite disappointed at your delivery this week...

Apollo... -- tell me about photoshop and I’ll tell you about your photo. Honey, think and please be original. Get a red bikini and you could still submit yours for PNTM… if it will have a comeback anytime soon. Certainly this will not run for coverboy this week. Expressionless face, lack of originality, no fire and please do better. Clearly not a crowd favorite.

BACK'2BACK -- its not about just standing out in the photo but where is the theme here?? I can’t even see your face... this is what I call a simulation of I-feel-I’m-a-celebrity picture. What more can I say... one of the weakest photos in the bunch. Clearly not a crowd favorite.

Boytoy11 -- I know that your hot and sexy... but this is crowd favorite honey... not Orgy favorite... you’ve crossed the line of soft porn here. And you look dead in the photo... everybody’s lusting for you and this is just what you can deliver... I don’t believe because the eyes give you away... you seem died with your eyes open wide... another weak photo in this bunch.

hard_hot -- a safe entry again... although close to the theme, but yet again, those extras doesn’t seem interested at you except the one who took the shot. I liked the way you edited your photo with a subtleness that it could pass as a raw one. Nice choice of clothes and good angle but next time, don’t be too posey... the pic suggests it was a moving photo, make it believable.

indierock -- one of the best photos in the bunch... you stood out but somehow really did not. I was distracted of the blurring of the background... if u have not altered the background, it might have clinched the theme perfectly. Good angle, nice lighting, I commend you on your good expression, subtle, yet enticing. You have my vote to get to the next round.

-jeff- -- where were you... are you there in the photo? That was my initial reaction... and I am sorry to say you didn’t even stand out at this picture. I thought the girl in red was the one competing in this. I cannot react much as I could not see much in the photo. Clearly not a crowd favorite.

JETFIGHTER -- honey this is G4M’s next top model, not next photoshop model... you delivered a worse photo last weak, this week, you delivered a far more appalling picture. Although you got the theme for this week which I had hoped the others did... but dear, your expression is off, way too off... the lighting didn’t even match the background. I’m sorry but you don’t have my vote. Clearly not a crowd favorite.

Rafe_143 -- I must say, I applaud you for this week. You certainly clinched my vote for coverboy. Good concept, nice body angle... good face. Although I would much wanted to see you more excited because the girls behind you are much into you. And I hope next time, use colors dear... it gives life to the photo.

RLeinberg -- I must say... I agree with the other judges... I can’t see the theme in this photo. Just another photo when maybe you were out with your buddies and suddenly had the urge to take a shot and posing ala “edgy and fierce” which turned out just plainly trying. Last week you were one of the stronger competitors, this week you are just one of the bunch. Clearly not a crowd favorite.

For this round, I will admit that I am so dissapointed... Mostly hindi genuine mga entries... the worst is yung iba hindi nakaabot sa theme!

Apollo... -- Very simple entry, too sad I already saw the background you used, and i definitely dont like it. Nonetheless, you still showed that youre a model.

Andrew116 -- I like this photo, although it seems a bit safe. The angle highlights your sharp facial features, and you do stand out. I wish your body was edgier though.

Apollo... -- I didn't like the edited feel of this pic. Your body angle is so-so, and your face seems blank again. You're capable of much better photos.

BACK'2BACK -- You obviously put in a lot of effort into this photo, though I wish you looked towards the camera so we could see your expression more closely. Your body angle is OK, although it's not clear what you're pointing at with your left hand.

Boytoy11 -- I think you crossed the pornography line again. Still, the photo is generally ok, though it would have been better if the shot wasn't taken from below your face, cuz this angle squishes all your facial features together.

hard_hot -- This photo is simple but good. I love how you created an angle by having your foot on the step while looking in the other direction. It also seems that your standing out was effortless.

indierock -- Even without the blur effects, you'd still be the focus of this picture. I love the body angle, I love how your face just pops out of the pic, and I just love the overall relaxed feel of the photo.

-jeff- -- It took me a few seconds to find you in this photo, and that's not good considering our theme. Several other people in this photo stand out more, and as far as modelling is concerned, you didn't really do much with this photo.

JETFIGHTER -- I'm a bit torn with this pic. On one hand I don't like how edited this pic is, and on the other I like how you were kinda playful in the shot. I still think you need to step up more in this competition.

Rafe_143 -- This is a good photo. I hardly noticed anyone in the background, and I love how effortless you make the pose seem, even though I can imagine how difficult it would have been given the location. I like how this time we can see your whole face.

RLeinberg -- There's no crowd, and you're capable of much better photos. As far as your modelling is concerned, I think that if you wanted to create a great facial angle, you should have moved your face more to the side rather than upwards. This angle makes your face look smaller.

The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM Philippine Time. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). At the end of the round, please e-mail your comments to the contest coordinator so they can be posted all at the same time for the contestants to see.

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 1st elimination night of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

After a hotly contested audition round, Round 1 of Cycle 2 was just as exciting. For the first time in G4M's Next Top Model's history, a model was eliminated for not submitting a photo before the deadline. Subsequently, Apollo... replaced jcboi03 as the 12th model for Cycle 2.

Another hot topic this week was the allegation that one of the contestants was a poser and was submitting fake photos. Harsh words were exchanged in the thread, and for the first time there was a serious argument between a judge and a model.

None of that matters now. What matters is that in my hand I hold 11 pictures, and these pictures represent the 11 men who will be continuing on the journey towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented our theme for Round 5: "Back To School". As we had warned, this theme was not as easy as it seemed. The judges were still looking for a high-fashion, edgy photo. To stay in this competition, you needed to make sure you're modelling and not just posing for another memorabilia shot.

The judges were overall not enthusiastic with the results. Some pics were OK, but most just weren't up to par. It seems that most of the models are still trying to find their way in this competition, and most still have to prove themselves. It's sad that 1 model will no longer have that chance.

The reaction of the judges to your photo was mixed. Some loved it, saying that you did well to show the theme through your pic. Some weren't happy though that you covered part of your face, since they would have wanted you to highlight your best features. Still, it was enough for this week.

Andrew116 -- Good angle, good pose, wonderful background, highlights your student look… but what’s with the angry eyes? You sick of going to school? There’s a line between angry and fierce but I think in overall you still did a good job but do better next time. Explore the possibilities and your angles. You possess one of the more beautiful faces in this competition… make more out of it… sometimes to take a good picture and making it believable, its not just the eyes, its in the totality.

Apollo... -- My dear Apollo… students go to school with their pants on… not without… the theme is back to school. You remind me of those Japanese school girls who wear their uniforms so short that their undies seem a smorgasbord for every dirty old man to enjoy. And you seem sleepy… are you trying to portray a before-going-to-school theme? Being in a picture can translate into a thousand stories my dear but when you are in a competition like this, you must take into consideration the factors that will compliment you, not pull you down. Whoever gave you this idea must be shot… it made you look like a poser in a porn website for teenage kids… think about the theme, not just sex or sexy… not just to entice… consider the fine line between them.

BACK'2BACK -- Are you inside the locker or something??? Poor lighting… whoever did that honey? It didn’t help to highlight your beautiful face and makes your eyes angry… seems to me your like a student plotting against the school on its first day. Explore ideas; try different angles, be more enticing. Just don’t think about fierce and edgy… being such doesn’t require much. Just understand what you are doing.

Boytoy11 -- One of the better pictures I’ve seen in this batch. But one thing bothers me, are you endorsing an underwear product? You have the look, the merchandise but you didn’t capture what was required. And you seemed angry with those eyes… what’s with the i-am-angry-and-bothered look with your pictures guys… but to top it, you did a good job somehow in terms of lighting, angles and adding a little touch of design. The wardrobe is a nice choice but not more of a school boy type. For me you are still in for the next round and I hope you stay away on the sexy mode and be serious on sticking with the theme. Sometimes we just don’t need to rub it to make everybody know that we are “HOT” it will show.

gOdWiN1 -- What can I say about you… give me something more believable than this. Have you accidentally hit the make-a-cartoon-picture button and transformed your picture into that? Be more realistic darling… I know you can do better

hard_hot -- I should applaud you too for sticking with the theme… for me this is just a so-so picture and good enough to get you thru the next round. I commend you for the good lighting angle and how the picture was shot. You became the center of the picture but I expect more from your face… seems your lost, not excited bout school. Good luck on the next round.

indierock -- When I looked at your picture, the first thing that distracted me was your pose… no offense but this is a bit slutty… I hope I don’t need to explain further… but when I make a close up look at your face, it was nice but then again… there’s a line between being fierce to trying hard to be fierce in a picture. You have a beautiful bone structure, use it to your advantage, tilting your head like that doesn’t give it justice… maybe if u faced the camera head on, maybe it turned out to be more fiery than this. A so-so picture… for me you’re thru to the next round.

-jeff- -- This is a student… but I think there was something creepy about the eyes. When I looked back at your profile pictures, I see that you have droopy eyes, big yet with pizzaz. Sometimes you have to take in mind that those eyes can be a bit over the top when you over do it… but in totality with the picture, you captured the essence of the theme this week and I like it somehow, though not in close up mode… still gives me the creeps. Anyways, good luck on the next round.

JETFIGHTER -- Honey… honey… honey… I can grasp the whole in-the-classroom mode but I can’t seem to grasp the look, and the camera angle… I can’t say much about this picture… I just don’t get it… gosh… I hope you can deliver better next time.

Rafe_143 -- For your picture, you have captured the theme very well but I can’t see your face. In a picture, most especially when you’re modeling, you must be the center of it, the main character but in this case, it seemed for me that it could pass for another picture of a student cramming and submitted just in time before the deadline for printing of a school newspaper. Do better next time.

RLeinberg -- Good image quality, good background, appropriate wardrobe, but the problem is… I don’t see your face… I see your chin and your nose more than the eyes and the face. Its refreshing to see someone smiling in a bunch of photos with angry-bothered-creepy-stare-at-you look. In this picture, I can connect it more with a groom in happy anticipation for his bride rather than a student going back to school… its more of a wedding picture theme for me rather than what was required for this week. But in totality, I liked your picture enough to have my vote and get you thru the next round

'shinji' -- Another picture that seems to render me temporary loss of direction. Dear, I know the look in your eyes, you want to be… again “fierce!” but I can’t feel the connection and where is your connection with this week’s theme? Have you just got so little time in between classes that you just have to snap away in a hurry? That hair… the skin… honey there’s a thing called powder… or better yet foundation… guys… I know you can do better… show us what you got.

Lastly, to all finalists that will be advancing to the next round, just one point to ponder… being in a perfect picture doesn’t require you to be perfect, sometimes the flaws in the angles, face, pose will make the picture perfect. Don’t try to be model-ly or think that you have made it… practice, explore, and keep an open mind to other ideas and concepts. Take the next step and raise the bar… be yourself… it will come out in the picture. Don’t let the picture be you, let YOU be the picture

1. Less is more - they have to remember that they are the subject and not the accessories they are using, so the highlight must be on them..

2. I hope that they are using nice cameras, and not cellphone cameras, if they don't have a nice cam (digital or not, as long as the resolution is good), they can borrow from friends or relatives.

3. They don't have to wear school uniforms. School is NOT ALL ABOUT AND LIMITED to school uniforms only. A simple ID or a simple book on hand with really nice clothes would do.

4.They have to be more creative on the next round. If i had the power, i would have eliminated FIVE, not just one or two!

As a whole, I was quite disappointed that the models didnt get what I wanted. Although I say what I wanted, I guess they should have read between the lines more. When the BACK TO SCHOOL theme was announced, I was expecting more of a student eager or excited to get to school, or bummed out that school is starting again. As for the professor look, no one did one, so no use babbling it here... For my judging, since no one met what I want, I guess I would have to rely on the idea of if the photos have that "student feel" in it... So here goes...

Andrew116 -- It's not a good photo; it wasnt bad either... But I thought you could do more... And just an advice, not only to you, but for the others too, EXAGGERATE but DO NOT OVERACT... That way, you could make your photos more believable...

Apollo... -- I didnt like the photo, in connection with this week's theme... I thought it was sleazy... Might you have done a more "conservative" shot, it's early to say but you might be the dark horse in this competition.

BACK'2BACK -- One thing I have to commend is an amazing lighting... However, it didnt do as much as the "student feel" in it... It felt like you just got some white polo, and did some pictorials in the dark... I didnt like that idea... It felt effortless, but in a negative way.

Boytoy11 -- The body tells me, "Oh harass me please!" but the face tells otherwise... It gave a little "student feeling" to it but little wont win you the competition... Overall, it's a good photo, just next time, coordinate between with what your face acts and what your body should tells...

gOdWiN1 -- What were you thinking when you did this photo?! I dont like it at all... I think your mug shot would be even better... And the fact that the whole photo is somehow, photoshopped, makes it even worse...

hard_hot -- It's a nice photo. It had that "student feel" in it. The camera angle is nice, and you worked with it nicely... Everything is nice, and you can push it more than being nice... But hopefully, not nicer... However, I can see your photo landing in a catalog.

indierock -- I liked the photo... It didnt have that "student feel" I was looking for, because I'm confused... I don't know if you were eyeing to be the student or the professor... The good thing, though, is that it had that academic feel to it. Another is that you know your best feature is your bone structure, and you really know how to flaunt it...

-jeff- -- I like it a lot! I think it's the best out of the bunch. Even if without the background of books, or that library atmosphere, it still felt like you were a student, and you were modelling something... Im just not sure which but, I would definitely buy it... Good job...

JETFIGHTER -- The photo is ok... However, again, this is one effortless shot... It felt like you really are a student but felt like you were messing around just to submit a photo... More effort next time...

Rafe_143 -- As a whole, I liked the concept of you cramming to your studies... It felt like you were studying, but didnt feel like you were a student... In the close-up I couldnt see a neck, so it felt like your head was about to fall, especially with your hands "holding" it...

RLeinberg -- It was an ok photo... I didnt feel some academic aura in it... You looked different, but it's a good thing...You know your best angles, and how to connect with the camera... The not so good thing is the ray of the sun "cutting" your face out... Also, a bit more of the body language can be used.

'shinji' -- A very fierce photo... But if you would put the camera on the center, it would look like your school id photo... Again, an negative effortless shot... I still think you can deliver a good photo though...

Apollo... -- First of all, welcome back. Okay, balik tayo sa judging. You look like a Japanese student in this photo. I really love your pose. very simple, pero pamatay ika nga. Sexy siya kaso parang sumobra nga lang sa pagiging sexy. Next time, medyo bawasan natin ang masyadong sexy ah. :p

BACK'2BACK -- This is one of the safe photos in this round. So so lang para sa akin. Kulang sa lighting and for me, parang stiff ang iyong pose.

Boytoy11 -- You have the edgiest photo and for me, you are the edgiest model. Pero minsan, nakakasawa ang pagiging edgy. But all in all, the pose, wardrobe, eye contact, everything, is really good.

gOdWiN1 -- I don't know kung ako lang ang nakapansin pero parang ALTERED ang photo mo. I really do question the authenticity of this photo. Another thing, you don't look like a student in this photo. You look like an employee in a callcenter company.

hard_hot -- I don't like the body language at all. It looks like you are lost or something. Sa pagiging model, dapat ang mga pose mo eh medyo pang-mature. Hindi naman yung pangmatanda syempre. What I am trying to say is make it more edgier. Kasi sa photo na ito, para kang Grade 6 na nag-iisip ng sagot sa assignment mo sa HeKaSi.

indierock -- This is a cute photo. However, for me, it's an amateur photo. I know you can develop your talent in this industry. And I still believe you have a potential.

-jeff- -- You look like a member of The Addams Family in this photo. Your pose is nice pero may make-up ka ba dito? Parang sumobra kasi eh. Next time, simplehan lang natin ang props. ;)

JETFIGHTER -- Curious lang ako ah. High School ka pa ba? You look like a high school student in this photo. But I like the photo. Kaso nga lang, parang halata na ikaw mismo ang kumuha. Next time, try to ask someone to take a picture para kita lahat ng body mo. :p

Rafe_143 -- Yung pic eh parang hindi akma sa theme. Kung tatanungin ako, parang commercial photo ito ng isang paracetamol tablet. I don't like it. And avoid having a black and white pic. The theme is "Back to school" so at least put some color to it.

RLeinberg -- Sorry to say pero mukha kang model ng isang education plan dito sa picture na ito. Minsan, isipin natin ang mga angles ng face kasi minsan nao-over expose ang ibang parts. In this case, sa angle ng ulo mo, parang mas lalong lumaki ang ilong mo. So be careful minsan.

'shinji' -- A close up photo in this theme is okay pero I prefer the whole body. But you have a very nice photo. Nice eye contact with the camera. It looks like you know what you are doing in this contest.

gOdWiN1 -- The authenticity of your pics have been questioned even during the auditions. Unfortunately, you still haven't proven to the judges (and the audience) that you indeed are not a "poser". Your entry for this round was overly edited. The/your head looked like something pasted on to somebody else's body.

hard_hot -- This is such a cute photo of a school boy. You look much younger in here. The location and angle with which the pic was taken was good but your school shoes looked too shiny, large and overpowering.

indierock -- You have a very bankable face. Baby Blue polo and cream colored pants is such a nice tandem but I'm wondering which school uses these colors for a school uniform. The pose you strutted looks awkward and you appear uncomfortable with it. You should have put those books on your lap instead of hanging your thigh on to them.

-jeff- -- Ive noticed that a number of you guys wore long sleeves/polo with a neck tie and a sleeveless. It made your entry common. The background was neat. Your facial expression was good but your pose looked too stiff.

JETFIGHTER -- Your entry was too SAFE.

Rafe_143 -- I really wasn't wrong voting for you during the audition. I knew you were serious about this online competition and that you'd be able to come up with good photos like the one you've submitted for this round. The important elements of the "Back to School" theme we're present in your photo - books, study lamp, coffee (?) and most importantly, STRESS! Your photo is real good, no doubt about it but I think that it would have been much better if you didn't alter the colors of your entry. Nevertheless, yours is one of the best for this round.

RLeinberg -- You look great and that can't be denied from you. The only problem I have is the lack or absence of the "Back to School" feel of your entry. Stick to the theme and do good next time. Please? *for Pete's sake, you ranked #1 during the auditions!*

'shinji' -- This photo captured your good facial features but I'm seeing the same shinji I saw during the auditions. I'm not seeing your range and I know you can do better than this. The unkempt hair was a minus but your expensive eyes compensated for it.

Andrew116 -- I love this photo. It's simple, yet you show so much attitude with your eyes. Less is definitely more sometimes. The way you angled your face definitely highlights your best features.

Apollo... -- I love your body angle. It's edgy, and not something you'd usually expect from the 1st round. Your facial expression though doesn't match it. I'm not sure if you were also trying to be edgy with your face, but you look a bit bored.

BACK'2BACK -- Out of all your test shots, this was definitely one of the better ones. I'm not getting any emotion from your face though. Modelling is all about the face, and I'm not really convinced by this photo.

Boytoy11 -- Out of all the entries this round, this one looks the most high-fashion. I love the contrast between the 'yes' body language and the 'no' facial expression. Few people can pull it off. Good job for the first round.

gOdWiN1 -- I don't like this photo at all. It looks artificial, and out of all the photos submitted, this one looks like there wasn't any effort put into it at all.

hard_hot -- This is one of the best photos for this round. It's simple, yet your presence is strong. My only comment is that you look so young that it's almost like you could be in grade school.

indierock -- I like your facial angle, cuz it highlights your best features. The photo doesn't wow me though. The body angle is OK, but I think you could still be more fierce somehow.

-jeff- -- Nice photo, but again it doesn't really wow me. You need to be careful about your body angle, because in this pic your middle part looks too large in comparison with the rest of your body.

JETFIGHTER -- I'm not getting anything from this photo. The body angle is so-so, and your expression is kinda blank. You need to begin stepping up in this competition.

Rafe_143 -- I like this photo. It's definitely edgy, and I love your body angle. Your hands kinda cover your face a bit too much, and that's the only thing that's keeping this pic from being great. Modelling is all about the face, and the eyes (which can't be seen either).

RLeinberg -- I don't see the school theme, but nonetheless it's a good photo. Not your best, but I love the lightness of it. A good effort for the first week.

'shinji' -- This pic is kinda messy, but I guess in a way that's what makes it a bit edgy. I'm not wowed though. It's a good thing your eyes kinda compensate for the lack of body expression.

The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM Philippine Time. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. Please take note of the new deadline. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). At the end of the round, please e-mail your comments to the contest coordinator so they can be posted all at the same time for the contestants to see.

CYCLE 2 ROUND 1 THEME: BACK TO SCHOOL

Just as it's a new cycle for G4M's Next Top Model, it's also a new school year for millions of students across the country. For this week's theme, you can portray either a student or a teacher.

Warning -- don't be fooled. This theme is not as easy as it may seem. Remember that the judges are still looking for a high-fashion, edgy photo. To stay in this competition, you need to make sure you're modelling and not just posing for another memorabilia shot.

This is the official announcement of results for G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2's Auditions.

Hi everyone! It's the moment we've all been waiting for all week. Tonight we finally find out who among those who auditioned made it as contestants for G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

For Cycle 1, the sign-up process was relatively simple. The 10 models competing were the first 10 G4M members who said that they wanted to be contestants for the competition. For Cycle 2, we decided to make the sign-up process longer and make the sign-ups an actual audition. This way, we could ensure that the models for Cycle 2 were really the cream of the crop.

The response to the auditions was overwhelming. We had to start the auditions for Cycle earlier than we had planned due to insistent public demand. By the end of the sign-up period, 30 G4M members were auditioning to be Cycle 2 models. Voting was definitely going to be difficult for both the judges and the public.

Almost a million votes were cast in the public voting. The voting was beginning to seem more and more like the recent senatorial elections as the days passed, not just in terms of the number of votes cast but in terms of the accusations of vote-buying and cheating. As for the judges, some of them were accused of being biased and having favorites. Though all the issues were eventually resolved, like Cycle 1, it seemed that Cycle 2 would not be free from controversy.

None of that matters now. What matters now is that in my hand I hold 12 pictures, and these pictures represent the 12 men who will be continuing on the journey towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.
