The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM Philippine Time. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.ntm@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Coverboy of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Coverboy of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM Philippine Time. Please take note of the new deadline. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). At the end of the round, please e-mail your comments to the contest coordinator so they can be posted all at the same time for the contestants to see.

CYCLE 2 ROUND 1 THEME: BACK TO SCHOOL

Just as it's a new cycle for G4M's Next Top Model, it's also a new school year for millions of students across the country. For this week's theme, you can portray either a student or a teacher.

Warning -- don't be fooled. This theme is not as easy as it may seem. Remember that the judges are still looking for a high-fashion, edgy photo. To stay in this competition, you need to make sure you're modelling and not just posing for another memorabilia shot.

Pics will be posted here: http://www.g4m-ntm.tk
or http://www.g4m-ntm-blog.tk

Good luck to all the contestants! G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2 Round 1 starts NOW!

G4Ms Next Top Model Cycle 2 Top 12

This is the official announcement of results for G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2's Auditions.

* * * *

Hi everyone! It's the moment we've all been waiting for all week. Tonight we finally find out who among those who auditioned made it as contestants for G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

For Cycle 1, the sign-up process was relatively simple. The 10 models competing were the first 10 G4M members who said that they wanted to be contestants for the competition. For Cycle 2, we decided to make the sign-up process longer and make the sign-ups an actual audition. This way, we could ensure that the models for Cycle 2 were really the cream of the crop.

The response to the auditions was overwhelming. We had to start the auditions for Cycle earlier than we had planned due to insistent public demand. By the end of the sign-up period, 30 G4M members were auditioning to be Cycle 2 models. Voting was definitely going to be difficult for both the judges and the public.

Almost a million votes were cast in the public voting. The voting was beginning to seem more and more like the recent senatorial elections as the days passed, not just in terms of the number of votes cast but in terms of the accusations of vote-buying and cheating. As for the judges, some of them were accused of being biased and having favorites. Though all the issues were eventually resolved, like Cycle 1, it seemed that Cycle 2 would not be free from controversy.

None of that matters now. What matters now is that in my hand I hold 12 pictures, and these pictures represent the 12 men who will be continuing on the journey towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

I will only call 12 names. The first model who made it to Cycle 2's Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

RLeinberg
http://www.guys4men.com/members/855228

You had the highest combined ranking out of the 30 G4M members who auditioned for Cycle 2. With 20 out of the 21 judges voting for you, you were ranked #1 in the Judges' Vote. The 57,138 votes you got from the Public Vote (ranked #6) showed that you're a crowd favorite too. Much will be expected of you in the weeks to come.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

The 2nd model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

indierock
http://www.guys4men.com/members/416985

You also had the highest combined ranking, along with RLeinberg. You ranked high both in the Judges' Vote (ranked #4) and the Public Vote (ranked #3, 76,600 votes). Your photos indicate that you know what your best features are, and make it a point to highlight them in your photos. The expectations for you are high, and we are confident you can live up to your potential in this competition.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

The 3rd model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Boytoy11
http://www.guys4men.com/members/902195

You started the week leading both the Judges' Vote and the Public Vote, and finished the week with respectable #2 and #7 rankings respectively for each category. The judges admired your daring shots, though we'd like to remind you though that there's a fine line between modelling and pornography. You need to constantly remind yourself of that as the competition progresses.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

Only 9 names remain. The 4th model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

BACK'2BACK
http://www.guys4men.com/members/754646

You were 1 of only 2 contestants who garnered more than 100k Public Votes (154,577 to be exact, ranking #2). As for the Judges' Vote, you ranked a respectable #8. We look forward to seeing a wider range of what you're able to do in the next few weeks.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

The 5th model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Andrew116
http://www.guys4men.com/members/429937

You were one of the Judges' favorites, ranking #2 like Boytoy11 with 19 out of the 21 judges voting for you. Your Public Vote ranking was #10. We look forward to the creative concepts we know you'll be able to come up with for your photoshoots.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

The 6th model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

-jeff-
http://www.guys4men.com/members/340511

You ranked #4 in the Public Vote with 73,416 votes, and you ranked #8 in the Judges' Vote. The judges see much potential based on the photos in your profile, and we hope that this continues to materialize in your photos for the coming weeks.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

Half of the Top 12 has already been called. Only 6 more names to go. The 7th model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

hard_hot
http://www.guys4men.com/members/725281

Like indierock, 18 out of the 21 judges voted for you, giving you a Judges' Vote ranking of #4. Your Public Vote ranking was #8. The judges noticed an edginess in your photos that we hope you'll use to your advantage with the themes for rounds to come.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

The 8th model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

gOdWiN1
http://www.guys4men.com/members/465826

You finished the week #1 in the Public Vote with a whopping 156,000 votes. However, you only ranked #15 in the Judges' Vote with only 7 out of the 21 judges voting for you. Since starting with Round 1 the votes will come entirely from the judges, you begin to need proving your worth in this competition. You need to show us a range of what you can do, and this is something that most of the judges didn't see in your profile.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

The 9th model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Rafe_143
http://www.guys4men.com/members/926339

You ranked #7 in the Judges' Vote and #11 in the Public Vote. The judges think you've got striking features, yet they aren't always properly highlighted in your photos. We hope you'll be able to work on choosing the best angles to highlight your assets in the coming weeks.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

We're down to our last 3 names. The 10th model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

JETFIGHTER
http://www.guys4men.com/members/197897

You ranked #11 in the Judges' Vote and #9 in the Public Vote. The judges like that you're able to show us a range in your photos. This is something that will prove to be very valuable to you when coming up with concepts for your photoshoots.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * *

The 11th model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

jcboi03
http://www.guys4men.com/members/866902

You ranked #6 in the Judges' Vote and #15 in the Public Vote. Like with Boytoy11, we admire you're willingness to be daring in your photos, but you should also consider that you don't need to bare skin to prove you can model well. Nonetheless, we see a lot of potential in you.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Before we announce the 12th and last model to make the Top 12 of Cycle 2, we'd first like to thank the 18 other models who didn't make it to the Top 12. Though your time with us may have been short, we hope that you have learned from this experience, and we hope that you continue to support G4M's Next Top Model. You can re-audition for Cycle 3, and who knows you might make it to the Top 12 then.

* * * *

Finally, the 12th and final model to make the Top 12 is...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

'shinji'
http://www.guys4men.com/members/868406

You were 1 of only 10 models who had more than half of the judges vote for them (12 votes), and you finished with a Judges' Vote ranking of #8. Your Public Vote ranking was #13, and with your combined ranking you scored 12th and final spot in Cycle 2.

Congratulations. You are now officially in the running towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

So there you have it folks. We finally have our Top 12 contestants for G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2. Though our comments this week were limited to the rankings based on the voting, next week our comments will be based on the photos that the models will be submitting for Cycle 2 Round 1, which officially starts now. This round the theme is "Back to School". Please see the new thread "G4Ms Next Top Model Cycle 2 Round 1" for details.

Thanks! :-)

PUBLIC VOTING

At 12:01 on June 17, polls will be opened to the public on the G4M-NTM blog. The public will be able to vote for as many candidates as they want, as many times as they want. The polls are below.

Disclaimer: This is the only time that public voting will be used to determine an outcome on G4M's Next Top Model. All other results will be based on the votes of the judges.

Voting will end 1 week later at 11:59 pm on June 23. The public votes will be combined with the judges' votes to determine the Top 12 models for Cycle 2.

JUDGES VOTING

The judges' may post their comments on the official entries and profiles of the contestants in the thread, but please don't post your votes. We want to keep the Top 12 a surprise.

The judges must submit their votes through pm or e-mail to the contest coordinator. The email address is below.

g4m.ntm@gmail.com

The judges have until 11:59 pm on June 23 to e-mail me their top 12 picks out of those who auditioned. If you would like your comments to be posted on the blog, please e-mail them to the contest coordinator as well.

The public voting will count for 50% of the final score, and the other 50% will come from the votes of the judges.

* * * *

At the end of the voting period, a new thread will be created to announce the 12 finalists, and another thread will be created to officially begin Cycle 2 Round 1.

Good luck to all those who auditioned! The voting period for the Cycle 2 auditions officially begins NOW!

G4Ms Next Top Model Cycle 2 Auditions

"Fashion is the art!
Designers are the gods!
Models play the part of angels in the dark..."

G4M's "General Chat" Forum welcomes you to the auditions for Cycle 2 of it's very own reality thread -- G4M's Next Top Model!!

For a recap of Cycle 1 and updates on Cycle 2, please visit the website below:
http://g4m-ntm.blogspot.com
or http://www.g4m-ntm-blog.tk

Congratulations to JUDE, winner of G4M's Next Top Model, Cycle 1!! :-)

Cycle 1 was a blast. But it's time to move on. It's time for Cycle 2. We're here to find 12 more men; 12 men who week after week will compete in the hopes of becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

* * * * *

CYCLE 2 CONTESTANT AUDITIONS

To all those who want to audition to become a contestant for Cycle 2, now's the time to sign-up. A few things to consider before auditioning:

** This is a 12-week long commitment. If you're not going to be able to sustain coming up with a new pic every week based on the theme for that round, then please don't sign-up. We want to avoid having contestants back-out very late into the competition.

** It's easier to be a contestant if you have access to either a digicam, a phone with a cam, or any sort of camera for that matter. The themes get harder and harder as the competition progresses, and it will be difficult if you're just relying on the photos in your archive.

** This is not a photoshopping contest. We're looking for models, not graphic artists. While edited pics may be better to look at, it's the quality of the model's performance that we're more interested in. That having been said, there are many audience members of this thread who would be more than willing to help you photoshop your pic should you need help with that.

Once you've considered the things above, you can begin thinking about your concept for your official audition pic. Here is the audition process for contestants:

1. You have until 11:59 pm on June 16 to e-mail your official audition photo to g4m.ntm@gmail.com. You can post as many pics as you want here in the thread to get people to help you choose one as your official pic, but only 1 pic will be posted in the photo album and the blog. Please include your G4M nick in the e-mail you will be sending.

Important: You MUST e-mail your official audition pic to g4m.ntm@gmail.com. Sign-ups through the thread will not be considered valid.

All official pics will be posted here: http://s170.photobucket.com/albums/u276/g4m-ntm/
or http://www.g4m-ntm.tk
or http://g4m-ntm.blogspot.com
or http://www.g4m-ntm-blog.tk

2. At 12:01 on June 17, polls will be opened to the public on the G4M-NTM blog. The public will be able to vote for as many candidates as they want, as many times as they want. The public voting will count for 50% of the final score. The other 50% will come from the votes of the judges.

Disclaimer: This is the only time that public voting will be used to determine an outcome on G4M's Next Top Model. All other results will be based on the votes of the judges.

3. Voting will end 1 week later at 11:59 pm on June 23. A new thread will be created to announce the 12 finalists, and another thread will be created to officially begin Cycle 2 Round 1.

CYCLE 2 JUDGES

The following judges from Cycle 1 will still be judges for Cycle 2:

3rdParty
Lioncourt
TakenBy_eriK
ZephyrInTheS

The following contestants from Cycle 1 have signed up to be judges of Cycle 2:

A K I
bakekong8
br@t
JUDE
pipo2
sef_aguilera (formerly known as CANDYMAN)

The following G4M members have already submitted the information required from judges (please see below for details) and are now official judges for Cycle 2:

`ZicoBiAtCh
badger
bojo3
lenin
Lee_vogue

Sign-ups are ongoing for those who want to become judges for Cycle 2. Previous judges from Cycle 1 may still sign-up for Cycle 2.

Some things to consider if you're interested in becoming a judge.

** This is a 12-week long commitment. If you're not going to be able to vote for all the rounds, then please don't sign-up. We will impose a 2-strikes-you're-out rule starting from the auditions round. You will receive only 1 reminder per week to vote. If you don't vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will automatically be eliminated as a judge.

** If you have friends who are joining as contestants, you might want to consider remaining an audience member. Judges must be impartial and unbiased when it comes to voting. If you can't imagine voting off your friend even if they have the weakest pic of the round, then please don't sign-up as a judge.

If you want to sign-up as a new judge for Cycle 2, please send an e-mail to g4m.ntm@gmail.com with the information below:

1. G4M nick
2. e-mail address
3. Yahoo messenger ID

None of your information will be made public, and your information won't even be given to the other judges. The information will be used solely for the purpose of the contest coordinator to get in touch with you should the need arise (e.g., you still haven't placed your vote for the week, there's a tie in the voting that needs to be resolved, etc.).

The deadline for sign-ups to be a judge is 11:59 pm on June 16. All sign-up e-mails received after this time will be considered void. Sign-ups with incomplete information will not be entertained.

CYCLE 2 MECHANICS

The mechanics of the competition proper:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 11:59 PM.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 11:59 PM. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

3. The contest coordinator will announce the Coverboy of the Week as well as who is eliminated in a new thread, latest Monday night 11:59 PM. A new thread will also be created for the new round.

Good luck to everyone! G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 2 starts NOW!

G4Ms Next Top Model Cycle 1 Winner

G4Ms Next Top Model is...

JUDE

Congratulations, JUDE!! You're G4M's Next Top Model!! :-)

You outposed, outmodelled, and outlasted 9 other contestants to become the 1st ever Winner of G4M's Next Top Model.

Your portfolio was the most consistent. Week after week, your photos would just get better and better. None of the judges ever voted you as their primary choice for elimination in any of the roungs. You had the widest range out of all the models. Even your test shots were good.

You truly deserve to be G4M's Next Top Model. :-)

* * * *

We, the organizers of G4M's Next Top Model, would like to thank each and everyone of you who participated for making Cycle 1 a resounding success.

To the judges, thank you for voting week after week. The public didn't always agree with our choices, but we did the best we could. To those that provided comments every week, especially Lioncourt and TakenBy_eriK, thank you for your efforts in helping the models reach their potential and come up with truly great photos.

We'd also like to thank everyone of you in the audience who have supported us throughout this competition. Though you may not have agreed with all our choices, though we might not have always understood each other, we appreciate the fact that you chose to share a part of your life with us. For that we are grateful.

Last, but definitely not the least, we'd like to thank all the models who joined Cycle 1 of G4M's Next Top Model. dn_angel, eroz2, timothy3, sundhae_143, CANDYMAN, bakekong8, pipo2, A K I, br@t, and JUDE -- you were the backbone of this competition. If it weren't for your dedication in coming up with a new photo every week, if you didn't put so much effort into your pics, this competition wouldn't have been as great. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

* * * *

Cycle 2 of G4Ms Next Top Model starts next week. We'll announce the mechanics for joining as a judge or as a model in a new thread. Please watch out for it. In the meantime, congratulations on a successful Cycle 1!! :-)

G4Ms Next Top Model Cycle 1 Recap

This is the official recap of G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 1.

* * * *

Cycle 1 of G4M's Next Top Model has come to an end!

It's time we took a few moments to reflect on everything that happened in the past 7 weeks.

This all started with a small group of G4M members who were fans of America's Next Top Model. One of the fans, CANDYMAN, suggested that we come up with a competition here in G4M similar to ANTM. In other forums, threads had been created to mirror reality shows such as Survivor or The Amazing Race. It seemed only fitting that here at G4M, where a lot of the members love taking pictures of themselves, we'd create a reality thread mirroring America's Next Top Model. And so G4M's Next Top Model was born.

None of us were sure how it would turn out. No one really took it that seriously at first. Some of the models, and even some of the judges, signed up not really knowing what they were getting themselves into. Still, everyone was so eager to get G4M's Next Top Model up and running. We decided to get things started and figure everything else out later.

Never could we have predicted that G4M's Next Top Model would turn out the way that it did. What started as a small photo contest between ANTM fans soon turned into one of the fiercest and edgiest online competitions. The thread soon had many supporters, many of whom wanted to either be contestants or judges. Although Cycle 1 had just started, many were already anticipating the start of Cycle 2.

The models quickly started gaining fans. Some models had fans that were so passionate that catfights often erupted in the thread. Though the judges tried to mediate, they also often found themselves the target of aggression. Everthing was disputed; nothing was sacred.

No matter how hard some people tried, they could never stop us from having fun. In spite of it all, the regular posters soon became a pseudo-family online. We soon learned more about each other's life outside of G4M, and we looked forward to seeing each other in the thread. For many of us, G4M's Next Top Model was our home away from home; a way to relieve the stress of our daily lives.

Whatever was going on, at the end of the week all that mattered were the photos the models submitted. It was all about the photos. The models put so much effort into their photos each week. Round after round, the quality just got better and better. The judges often found difficulty choosing who to eliminate. Elimination night was always a sad night.

Tonight, we make our last elimination. Tonight, we announce the winner of G4M's Next Top Model. Before we announce the winner of G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 1, here's a quick summary of what happened each round.

* * * *

Round 1 -- Sports

For the first week of the competition, the organizers were inundated with requests from other G4M members to join the competition either as contestants or as judges. Though we agreed that perhaps the sign-up period could have been longer, the decision was made to keep the current set of judges and models. Everyone else would have to sign-up for Cycle 2.

As far as the quality of the photos was concerned, the judges weren't completely impressed with what the models had submitted. Some of the models didn't submit photos that were related to the theme at all, and this was reflected in the judging. Still, it was just the first week. The models were still testing the waters. In the succeeding weeks, they would slowly begin proving their worth.

dn_angel backs out

Due to an death in the family, dn_angel had to back out of the competition before the first round had even been completed. Some people considered him to be one of the cutest contestants, so his leaving the competition was definitely a sad event.

Round 1 -- Sports
Coverboy of the Week: CANDYMAN

Out of all the photos submitted, his was the most high fashion. It was a simple, understated black-and-white photo, and it was enough to have him stand out among the other models.

Round 1 -- Sports
Eliminated: eroz2 and timothy3

The first elimination on G4M's Next Top Model was a double elimination. Neither eroz2 or timothy3 submitted a photo that was really apt for the theme, and their interest in the competition was questioned. The judges were split on who they wanted to eliminate. In the end, both of them had to go.

* * * *

Round 2 -- Product Endorsements

Round 1 had been completed, and yet the mechanics of the competition were still being questioned. Some people were saying that the contestants should have all been from Manila, so that it would be easier to get everyone together for a single photoshoot. They argued that a single photoshoot with all things equal would really determine who was a good model. Others were saying that the contest shouldn't be limited to G4M members in Manila, because there could be potentially good models in other locations.

In the end, as always, it was the photos that mattered. This was the round where the models really started competing. Compared to the photos that had been submitted the week before, the photos this round were definitely more fierce, more edgy. It was difficult for the judges to choose the Coverboy of the Week.

Round 2 -- Product Endorsements
Coverboy of the Week: bakekong8

The previous week, bakekong8 submitted a photo that some considered as borderline porn, and some even said that he ought to have been eliminated. In an effort to prove he deserved to be in the competition, he came up with this stunning photo. It was simple yet intense, and he managed to highlight the product he was endorsing without letting it overpower him.

Round 2 -- Product Endorsements
Eliminated: sundhae_143

In a surprising twist, CANDYMAN, Coverboy of the Week for Round 1, ended in the bottom 2 along with sundhae_143. The judges felt CANDYMAN had lost the spark he had shown previously. Ultimately though, it was sundhae_143 that was sent home. He had let his product overpower him, to the point that his presence in the pic was barely felt.

* * * *

Round 3 -- Angry and Fierce

Some minor drama occurred when br@t almost had to back-out. He had lost his cousin's digicam, and all the stock photos in his phone got lost too for some reason. Luckily some of his fans had convinced him to stay in the competition, and he was still able to submit a photo by the end of the week.

This was also the week that 2 of the judges, trailer and ELusive, were eliminated. People were getting frustrated that not all of the judges had been voting each week. A 3-strikes-you're-out rule was implemented, and those judges that hadn't voted for any 3 of the rounds would be taken off the roster of judges.

Round 3 -- Angry and Fierce
Coverboy of the Week: A K I

A K I was the model who was most able to portray the negative emotion of anger and still pull off a good photo. The other models seemed to be a bit lost. Most of them seemed unable to strike a good balance between being angry and being fierce. A K I didn't have a problem with that.

Round 3 -- Angry and Fierce
Eliminated: CANDYMAN

br@t ended up in the bottom 2 this week for seeming to give up on the competition so easily after all that had happened. It was CANDYMAN who went home though. Ironically he had helped convince br@t to stay in the competition, even helping him out with his photo. The judges felt that CANDYMAN spent too much time helping br@t out that he neglected his own photo.

* * * *

Round 4 -- Sizzling Summer Days

By this point, some of the models had solid fan bases. Some of the fans were very vocal about their support, and this would be a big factor in the drama that would occur after this week's elimination.

bakekong8 had the most passionate fans. Like br@t in the previous week, bakekong8 was thinking about backing out during this round, since he had lots of family-related matters to attend to. Since it was already late in the competition, a lot of people got frustrated.

Everyone reacted. TakenBy_eriK in particular reacted the most, and made some comments that would be the catalyst for many arguments in the thread. He became arguably the most polarizing of all the judges. For the first time since the competition started, ZephyrInTheS had to release an official statement regarding what was happening in the thread.

Luckily bakekong8's fans were able to convince him to stay. They even did the editing of his photo for the week. Still, the controversies would not stop.

Round 4 -- Sizzling Summer Days
Coverboy of the Week: JUDE

This was the first time that the judges were unified in selecting the Coverboy of the Week. The judges agreed that JUDE's photo was definitely the hottest one this round. His photo oozed with the sensuality of summer. Unlike some of the models who edited their photos heavily, JUDE didn't use photoshop at all. He proved that good models don't need to have their pics edited.

Round 4 -- Sizzling Summer Days
Eliminated: bakekong8

br@t was in the bottom 2 for the second week running for again failing to come up with a pic that wowed the judges. However, in what proved to be the most controversial elimination of G4M's Next Top Model Cycle 1, it was bakekong8 who was sent home at the end of Round 4. The judges felt that he had plateaued. His expression in his photos were beginning to look all the same, and his pic for this round looked over-edited and artificial.

The public reaction was overwhelming. In an instant, a thread was created urging bakekong8 fans to "unite! fight fight fight!". The judges were accused of being biased, non-independent, and unqualified. ZephyrInTheS had to release another statement, explaining the judges' decision and defending the existence of G4M's Next Top Model.

Still, it would be a few days before things would settle down. Eventually bakekong8 himself would help bridge the gap between his fans and the competition, even agreeing to be a judge for Cycle 2. New threads were created, urging fans to "make peace not war".

* * * *

Round 5 -- Disco Glam

It wasn't until Saturday that the models were able to submit their photos, so while waiting the audience and the judges had to find other things to keep themselves busy. Family photos were shared, and love teams were created. With each day that passed, G4M-NTM became more and more like a family rather than just another modelling competition.

Once the pics were submitted, it was clear that it would be another difficult week as far as judging was concerned. We were down to the last 4, and the judges wanted to be sure about who they would send to Round 6, the last round before the finals. For the first time ever, secondary votes were necessary to determine who would be eliminated.

Round 5 -- Disco Glam
Coverboy of the Week: JUDE

For the 2nd week in a row, JUDE impressed the judges the most with his photos. Each week he had been able to show a different side of himself, and the judges liked the range of expressions he was able to give. Even his test photos seemed to be promising.

Round 5 -- Disco Glam
Eliminated: pipo2

In the closest elimination night so far in the competition, A K I and pipo2 both ended up in bottom 2. Neither had been in the bottom 2 before. A K I was in the bottom 2 because although the concepts behind his photos were stellar, he seemed to be more focused on the concept rather than on the modelling. After a really close vote, it was pipo2 who was sent home. He was sent home because of his lackluster photo, and because the judges felt the fierceness they saw in his previous pics was gone.

This week's elimination was not free from controversy. irog, one of the thread's strongest detractors, was adamant that br@t should have been disqualified. He claimed that br@t only chose his photo after the 11:59 pm Saturday deadline, and therefore should not have been allowed to continue. However, it was clarified that br@t posted his final photo in the thread much before the deadline, and was well within the limits as specified by the competition mechanics. irog soon dropped his claim, and Round 6 got underway.

* * * *

Round 6 -- Kanto Boy vs GQ

This was the quietest week since the competition started. Everyone seemed to be busy with work. The regular posters had no choice but to wait; wait until the top 3 models submitted their official entries for the penultimate round.

This round was crucial for the contestants, since it would be the last week that there would be a theme. It was the round that would determine who would be in the finals of Cycle 1 of G4M's Next Top Model. More than ever, the contestants needed to prove themselves as top models.

Round 6 -- Kanto Boy vs GQ
Coverboy of the Week: JUDE

JUDE's was going through an emotional time this week. His best friend, Tox, had moved to another company, and JUDE was trying to cope with the idea of not seeing his best friend everyday anymore. Still, he managed to pull off 2 great photos, and for the 3rd week running was voted Coverboy of the Week.

Round 6 -- Kanto Boy vs GQ
Eliminated: A K I

The decision on who deserved the last place in the finals was not an easy one to make. The judges had to decide if they would send A K I, the model who peaked early in the competition and then fizzled out during this round, or br@t, who took some time in the competition before he finally wowed the judges. In the end, br@t made it to the finals and A K I ended his quest to become G4M's Next Top Model at a respectable 3rd place.

* * * *

Final Round

And now we're down to the final 2. For the finals, the judges would have to vote based not only on the official photos the models submitted for the week, but on the models' whole portfolios. It was not an easy vote to make.

2 models outposed and outmodelled 8 others to make it this far. However only 1 can claim the right to call himself the first ever winner of G4M's Next Top Model. Here's one last look at our final 2.

br@t

You've shown a lot of improvement throughout the competition. You didn't start as a frontrunner, and were even in the bottom 2 a few times. But in the end, you showed the judges that you could live up to the potential they saw in you at the start. Your final photo

JUDE

Week after week you've impressed the judges with your great photos. Other models tried to get by in the competition by wowing the judges with good photoshop editing, but you proved that good models don't need special effects to stand out. Your final photo

* * * *

And now comes the moment of truth. After 7 long weeks, tonight we finally announce the winner of Cycle 1 of G4M's Next Top Model.

I will only call 1 name. The name I will call is G4M's Next Top Model...
